Hello, creators and gamers! Iām excited to share the latest strides in our mission to make vibrant, game worlds accessible to all. From pixel-perfect sprites to dynamic world mechanics, weāre building tools to spark your creativity. Hereās whatās new in our latest update! š
Pixel & Semi-Realistic Art Upgrades šØ
Weāve overhauled our sprite and animation library, bringing fresh visuals to plants, animals, and terrain. Both pixel-styleĀ and semi-realistic illustrationsĀ now shine with updated animations and sprites. Future planned styles include cartoon, anime and miniature art styles.
Weād love to hear your thoughts! Requests and feedback on art direction or new styles are always welcomeālet us know what inspires you! š¬

World Genesis Engine: Environmental Mechanics š¬ļøš§
The World Genesis EngineĀ has taken a big leap forward with reimplemented mechanics for clouds, wind, and water. Using our new object system, these features are now fully functional, creating dynamic, immersive environments. Watch them in action in our latest video showcase! š„
Weather and water: Clouds now move according to the Coriolis effect, temperature and height of the terrain below it. Although it is not visible, mountains and rocks are actually higher z levels. Tiles with cloud traffic (usually around the equator and mid-latitudes of the upper and lower hemispheres) have more water and therefore more plant growth.
Plant & Animal Dynamics šæš¦
Plants and animals are coming to life! Key updates include:
Plant Growth & Propagation: Plants now grow over time, with growth rates accelerated 100x for video demos. They can propagate within tiles and spread to nearby ones based on time elapsed.
Movement: Animals now feature movement based on their maximum speeds and terrain, adding realism and charm to your worlds.
These systems lay the groundwork for rich, evolving ecosystems in your games.
Near-Future Goals: Expanding Gameplay š ļø
Weāre gearing up for exciting additions to enhance your game-building experience:
Resource/Inventory Systems: Soon, youāll be able to integrate resource management and inventories into your games, perfect for crafting or survival mechanics.
Tile Zoom Feature: Dive deeper into your worlds with the ability to zoom into tiles, revealing detailed views of villages, cities, buildings, and local areas.
Long-Term Vision: Procedural Worlds š
By the end of the year, we aim to roll out procedural generationĀ for side-scrolling worlds based on our tile system. Imagine infinite, unique landscapes generated seamlessly for your players to explore!
