Development Update: Object Sprites

ree

Over the past month, we have focused on perfecting our workflow for creating sprites for the AI Game Maker and Genesis World Engine. A dedicated effort has been put into training custom image generation models and image workflow optimizations, resulting in the consistent creation of high-quality sprites through hundreds of hours of model training and automated scripts. This has laid the foundation for a robust workflow that is now nearly complete for generating character and clothing sprites. Additionally, groundwork has been established for isometric images, which will be implemented in future updates to enhance the gaming experience.

A comprehensive workflow has been developed to generate high-quality images for each of the at least 20,000 objects that will be available in the AI Game Maker and World Engine. This capability allows for the creation of multiple semi-realistic illustrations of each object, which are then converted into different art styles. Currently we will have pixel, miniature, and toon art styles, and we will further tweak or create more depending on user feedback.

With our object editing system, users will have the flexibility to add their own objects using pre-existing or custom sprites, or they can leverage AI to generate additional objects and images using our advanced models. This feature will empower users to utilize a staggering 100,000 sprites, enabling them to develop their own games or explore procedurally generated and user-generated worlds filled with tens of thousands of objects.

Here are a sample of sprites that we created:

Here is a video demonstrating how easily objects can be placed into a game world:

Looking ahead, a preview of our character and clothing system will be posted later this month. Utilizing a similar process to our object creation, intricate automated workflows have been established to generate thousands of clothing combinations. We will provide pre-animated animations for each article of clothing, as well as overlayed sprites for within the animation engine and scripts within Unity, providing users with a vast array of choices for character customization. The World Genesis AI system will intelligently allocate clothing to characters based on various world settings, ensuring that attire is appropriate for the environment, culture, timeline, and available materials. With the ability to keep track of memory and simulated physiological capabilities, with integration of chatbots, each character will seem like living breathing people living in their own reaistic world.
